Guidelines for Documenting your Project Online
Prepare an html page that documents your project in the following ways:
. Title
. Course Information
. Project Description
1 or 2 paragraphs that describe the project/research
. Project Methods
. Describe how you did what you did. Add reference links for resources,
and tools you used
. Illustrations
Add jpegs or videos to enhance your description that are not too
high-resolution, Aim for efficiency in download time. If many images
are necessary, aim to display them on multiple pages.
. References
Add links to other projects, resources, etc. that are pertinent to your
report
. List of Participants, their contribution, specialization, contact info
Once you have collected your material, plan your website’s design. You
can use the course template, or do something different (but hopefully
well designed)
Tips
. Plan globally, meaning if you have multiple pages, create a template
that will guide positioning your text, visuals, titles on the screen
. Use space well and in proportion to your information.
. Make the navigation easy: A 1 page report should be viewed scrolling
down. Multiple pages will need a top menu, etc.
