I had no problem whatsoever, really quite impressed how simple it was.

Summary:

Download from
http://openframeworks.cc/download
http://openframeworks.cc/versions/preRelease_v0.01/
of_preRelease_v0.01_xcode.zip

Open the zip. There are two aliases to zips to unpack, either PPC or
Intel.

Then in the app/ folder, choose a project folder, open the xcode
project inside it, build and go. I tried a few out and they all
worked ok. I had a debug error when quitting the MovieCapture
example. Their choice of fonts & colors is questionable.

They don't build a library to link, they just link the openframeworks
source directly, and there are no lib dependencies since they include
them in the distribution.
