I am looking for a student interested in a summer position to work on a
music-related project in Smalltalk (Squeak, Visualworks). The Computer
Music Center is part of IBM's world-renowned Watson Research Center and is
located 40 miles north of Manhattan, New York. Our main focus is on
developing solutions for supporting the creative workflow of musical
composition. Several projects span from high-level user interfaces,
interactive real time systems, music representation, and structured
graphics that can be performed live with music. I am particularly
interested in candidates that have a strong practical background in Squeak
with a good working knowledge of Morphic. Background in music is an
advantage but not essential. If you are interested, please contact me
personally via email: music@us.ibm.com.

As IBM is an equal opportunity employer, we are interested in speaking with
all qualified candidates, particularly women and underrepresented minorities.
