[sc-users] does it mean anything?

Spent some time with the sources this morning... I don't see where  
the bug is. processstring() in the compiler appears to be setting the  
immutable flag on string constants in every case, and putIndexedSlot 
() always checks the flag.

Is something changing the flags?
