P.S.  If it wasn't clear from the "above" message, this doesn't occur when CA
is set to either an internal arrangement of devices (built-in mic + built-in
output, etcv.) or when using an external device (Onyx Satellite and MOTU
work fine.)  Only when Jack is involved does SC not want to play nice.
