Hey all,
I was doing an improv session on Friday night that called for me to use
Jack as a way of routing audio to a number of different apps including SC.
I set Jack to interface with my audio I/O device and set my defaults (in
Audio setup) to Jack, which in the past has led to SC choosing Jack as well.
My understanding is that whatever is set as the default in CoreAudio is what
SC defaults to. Anyhow, that's how it used to go down, only this time, SC3
picked different, seemingly random interfaces instead, but never Jack. Once
it picked MOTU Traveller that Jack was interfacing with, another time, it
chose Aggregate for the input and Built-in for the output. Both of these
instances occurred while my CoreAudio prefs were set to Jack and Jack was
set to interface with the Audio device. I'm just curious why the behavior
seems so random. Any ideas?
THanks,
-S
