Neither do I. I had no idea about this actually, and I even suggested
virtually the same name: OSC/SQ vs OSCQS -- uncanny.

Re: zeroconf, their website says "liboscqs supports Service Discovery
using either Howl or Spread". I can't tell from a cursory glance at the
API how far they got with that. Maybe Martin can clarify the status of
this?

Anyhow, we shouldn't abandon our efforts here. Martin's work seems to be
closely based on the original Schmeder/Wright paper (2004), I can
certainly see room for further building/honing of the protocol taking
account of some of the ideas recently discussed.
