[OSC_dev] Application Profiles

Hello,

Do we have a list of applications that would be good to make profiles
for? For me this would be really useful starting point on trying to
thrash out some standardisation on how they work. I have implemented a
couple of these applications already. I am not certain that that
messages paths/formats that I am using are the best way, but I am
fairly happy with them.

Some things I have an interest in:
- Audio Deck (just Load/Eject/Play/Pause/Stop)
   http://www.aelius.com/njh/madjack/
- Player with Playlist (also Next/Prev/Add/Delete/Shuffle messages)
- Mixer
   http://www.aelius.com/njh/jackminimix/

Also:
- Standard Midi mapping?
- Sequencer
- Synthesiser

I implemented /ping (and /pong) response in most of the things I have
made. Just for testing really... I have always found replying with OSC
(and liblo) a bit of a mess. Maybe that is why a standard method
hasn't yet been formed..

nick.

ps. I have almost finished producing a patch to add OSS support for VLC:
http://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation:Modules/osc
I am not too attached to the paths I chose, I just decided to use the
ones I picked for MadJack. If someone has a better idea, I would be
happy to adopt that.
