Dear Veterans Organization,

A unique opportunity has arisen with the alliance of AMVET's Radiation
Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) Project and Dr. Albert Holtz's Project to
Adjudicate Battlefield Uranium Victims.

We ask that you put a short veteran service announcement in your
newsletters:

"Veterans suffering from illness as a result of exposure to "depleted"
uranium sought for adjudication in the Veterans Administration system.

Dr. Albert Holtz, a Harvard trained physician who has sat on VA ratings
boards, is seeking veterans with documented exposure to "depleted" uranium
who suffer from leukemia or lymphoma for adjudication with the Veterans
Administration and establishment of a registry with the VA.

Qualified veterans should contact Dr. Albert Holtz: lalapapa at ix.netcom.com
and RECA's Chairman Earl J. Lee: dms37 at sprintmail.com If you're reluctant
to answer via E-Mail, the AMVET's RECA Chairman can be reached by mail at:

Earl J. Lee
2169 West Dr.
El Cajon, CA 92021
Ph 619-444-5384

Kind regards, Lane Anderson, Member of Chapter 37 of DAV

PROPOSAL FOR THE ADJUDICATON OF A VETERAN EXPOSED TO
BATTLEFIELD URANIUM

Dr. Albert Holtz, M.D. is in
the
position of being able to make a medical-legal case for the
service
connection of an illness resulting from exposure to so-called
depleted
uranium [DU].0000

The presentation of the case for service connection would be
made to the
rating board at the Federal Building in Westwood, California.

The need for this type of presentation is supported by the
existence of a
specific federal program in place already for the granting of
compensation
to those workers exposed in the mining and processing of uranium
ore.

It would be reassuring to the veteran involved that more than
one individual
is involved, so that coverage could be assured in case I am not
able to
continue to pursue the project for whatever reason.
would be utilized
Cost would be minimal as the services of me as a physician and
my son as a
lawyer will be free.

The veteran would pay for his minimal expenses involved in
filing and
travel to the VA facilities such as rating board and clinics.

This project would allow interested members of the VFP to have a
hand in
what the lawyers call "breaking new ground and writing new law".

I have experience in the VA
rating board
and in radioisotopes and X-ray technology.

The project would be both educational and worthwhile to the
veterans and
would not be limited to support from the AMVETs and DAV alone. Other
organizations
would be interested.
